The 40 km long Espoo Waterfront Walkway (Espoon Rantaraitti) takes you from historical and architectural hotspots to beautiful nature views. The walkway itself starts right on the border with the capital Helsinki. It connects areas of Laajalahti, Otaniemi, Keilaniemi, Tapiola, Otsolahti, Westend, Toppelund, Haukilahti, Nokkala (Matinkylä), Finnoo, Kaittaa, Soukka, Espoonlahti, Kivenlahti and Saunalahti together. Espoo Waterfront Walkway is well accessible by metro and public bus network.
You can walk, hike, cycle, or jog along different parts of the Espoo Waterfront Walkway. Along the way, you will cross several swimming beaches, parks, scenic cafés, and restaurants with seaside views, cultural sights, and nature reservations. The walkway is also home to several seaside saunas and watersport activities. Besides that, you can hop on of the scheduled archipelago boat to Espoo's islands during the summer season (June-August) or join the Boat & Bike cruise that will allow you to combine cycling along the waterfront walkway and returning by boat.
