Karhunpesä, a cosy log cottage in Nuuksio

Welcome to the cozy Karhunpesä, located in its own natural setting on a cliff top, with stunning views of Nuuksio National Park. The marked forest trails of the National Park can be accessed directly from the yard. We are conveniently located only about 35 kilometers from downtown Helsinki and just 1 kilometer from Finland's Nature Center Haltia.

Karhunpesä is the perfect venue for a relaxed gathering, meeting, team day, retreat, or intimate celebration. We provide all the necessary meeting amenities including a data projector, screen, flip chart, and Wi-Fi.

With seating for up to 20 guests at two long tables and accommodation available for a maximum of 16 people, Karhunpesä features three double rooms and a loft space sleeping approximately 10 people.

Our facilities include a compact kitchen, a wood-fired sauna for 6-7 people, and an outdoor hot tub under the starry sky. The rocky terrace has table groups and a summer kitchen with a gas barbecue.

You can order catering through us or handle dining arrangements independently, and bringing your own beverages is permitted.

Nuuksio Reindeer Park is located on the same plot and can be visited by prior arrangement. Lunch or dinner with wine can be enjoyed on request in the Lappish teepee by a campfire. Cute reindeer around the teepee add a touch of northern magic to the experience.

We organize tailor-made activity programs for groups throughout the year such as: Noux Challenge team competition, Noux Survivor challenge, hiking, Nordic walking, cycling, canoeing, church boat rowing, a cruise on the electric motor-powered Helga church boat on Lake Pitkäjärvi in Nuuksio, GPS orienteering, backyard games (archery, blowpipe shooting, axe throwing), High Rope course, 9-hole disc golf in natural terrain, snowshoeing, kick sled safari, swimming in rescue suits, and more.
