Plane - From Helsinki Airport
When arriving from the Helsinki Airport, you are just 20km away from Espoo. Using the HSL app, you can hop on public transport or buy commuter tickets from a vending machine. The HLS app will find the fastest and most convenient way to reach your final destination in Espoo.
- Take a local train (I or P) from Helsinki Airport to Helsinki Central Station and change at Helsinki Central Station (Helsinki, Pasila, or Huopalahti stations) for commuter trains to stations in Espoo.

- Take a bus nr. 600 from Helsinki Airport to Helsinki City Center (stop: Rautatientori), from stop Rautatientori you can easily change to the adjoining metro line and head west to explore Espoo's seaside (the last stop is in Kivenlahti) or jump on a local train to Espoo Keskus (Espoo Center) and from there take the bus nr. 245 Nuuksionpää to travel to the Nuuksio National Park.

- Rent a car from Helsinki Airport. You will find car rental companies such as Europcar, Hertz, Sixt, Enterprise, GreenMotion, and Scandia Rent.
- Take a taxi from Helsinki Airport to Espoo. The taxi station is outside the arrival hall, and taxis with an agreement with the airport company Finnavia are located there.
Boat - from Stockholm, Tallinn, Åland or Travemünde
Are you arriving in Helsinki's international harbor by one of the direct ferries from Stockholm, Tallinn, or Travemünde? Then you will arrive at the ports just 15-30 minutes from Espoo.
Katajanokka Terminal, where Viking Line ferries from Stockholm and Tallinn leave and arrive. From Katajanokka terminal, the easiest way to reach Espoo's seaside is by hopping on the metro by walking to the station: Helsingin Yliopisto and heading to Kivenlahti. (You can also get closer to Helsingin Yliopisto station by taking tram nr. 4 to station Ylioppilasto). To explore Nuuksio National Park, take a tram nr. 4 or 5 to Lasipalatsi, where you can change to local trains to Espoo Keskus and from there with bus nr. 245 to Nuuksio.
Olympia Terminal, where Tallink Silja ferries from Stockholm leave and arrive daily. From Olympia terminal, the easiest way to reach Espoo's seaside is by hopping on the metro by walking to the station: Helsingin Yliopisto and heading to Kivenlahti. (You can also get closer to Helsingin Yliopisto station by taking tram nr. 4 to station Ylioppilasto). To explore Nuuksio National Park, take a tram nr.2 to Rautatieasema (Central Railway Station) or nr. 4 or 5 to Lasipalatsi, where you can change to local trains to Espoo Keskus and from there with bus nr. 245 to Nuuksio.
West Terminal 2, where Eckerö Line and Tallink Silja ferries from Tallinn leave and arrive several times daily. From West Terminal 2 terminal, the easiest way to reach Espoo's seaside is by hopping on a tram (7 or 9) at the station: Länsiterminal T2 to Kampintori plat. 80, and there is a change to the metro (west direction to Tapiola or Kivenlahti). To explore Nuuksio National Park, take a tram (7 or 9) from Länsiterminal T to station Rautatieasema (Central Railway station), where you can change to local trains Y, E, U to Espoo Keskus and from there with bus nr. 245 to Nuuksio National Park.
Hansa Terminal, Vuosaari harbor, where Finnlines ferries from Travemünde leave and arrive. From Hansa Terminal, the easiest way to reach Espoo's seaside is by taking a bus nr.90 from Hansaterminaali to Vuosaari and, in Vuosaari, changing to the metro (west direction towards Tapiola or Kivenlahti). To explore Nuuksio National Park, take the same bus, nr. 90 from Hansaterminaali to Vuosaari, and in Vuosaari, change to the metro to Kamppi (the east direction). In Kamppi, switch to the local train (U, E, Y) towards Espoo Keskus, and from Espoo Keskus, continue with bus nr. 245 to Nuuksio National Park.
Train - Long-haul trains in Finland
From Helsinki Railway Station, you can reach Espoo sites by joining the metro ride from station: Central Railway Station (zone A) to the west side with final stops in Tapiola (zone B) or Kivenlahti (zone C). Ideal when planning to visit Espoo's seaside or events in Espoo's Metro Areena. Another option would be to take the local train nr. E, U, A or Y to Espoon Center (Espoo Keskus) from where you can change to bus nr. 245 and enjoy the beauty of Nuuksio National Park in about 45 minutes.
Note: Intercity trains from and to Turku stop at Leppävaara station, from where you can visit Espoo's sites by joining the new light trail Raide Jokeri that will take you to centers of Otaniemi, Keilaniemi, or even to Helsinki. You can also join local buses from Leppävaara station to Espoo's seaside, such as Haukilahti or Matinkylä beach areas. For visiting Nuuksio National Park from Leppävaara, continue a few more stops with local train E to Espoo Keskus and from there with bus 245 to Nuuksio National Park.

Bus - Long-haul busses in Finland
From the central long-haul bus station in Kamppi (Helsinki), you can reach Espoo's seaside easily by hopping on the metro (station Kämppi, zone A) and following to the west part with a final station in Tapiola (zone B) or Kivenlahti (zone C). Besides that, it is also possible to take a local train E, U, to Espoo Center (Espoo Keskus) and continue with bus nr. 245 to Nuuksio National Park. The next option is to jump on bus nr. 213 from Kämppi to Kirkkopuisto and there change to bus 245 to Nuuksio National Park.
