Experience the winter wonderland

Finland, and especially Lapland, is known to be a winter wonderland. And Espoo offers a chance to experience a glimpse of the Arctic too. During winter, you can meet the friendly Siberian huskies who love your hugs, raise your adrenaline in a fast sledge dog ride and enjoy dinner in an authentic Lappish hut. Ice fishing, snowshoeing, and rescue suit swimming in a frozen lake are a must during winter! Or how about an Arctic Kayaking experience in the Baltic Sea?

But a few facts before you get too excited! The snowy season in southern Finland is shorter than in the north. Usually, the first snow arrives in the capital region before Christmas. Still, the best time for snowy activities in Espoo is in January-February, when there may be more snow in Nuuksio National Park than in Lapland!
